This product is used to determine the level of luteinizing hormone (LH) in women’s urine to predict ovulation time. It is used to guide women of childbearing age to choose the best chance of conception or to guide contraception during safe periods. Luteinizing hormone (LH) is produced by the anterior pituitary and is a glycoprotein with a molecular weight of about 30KD. Female LH concentration changes with the menstrual ovulation cycle, usually suddenly and sharply increasing approximately 36 to 48 hours before ovulation, and ovulation begins 12 to 18 hours after LH level reaches its peak. LH level drops rapidly after ovulation, and the next cycle will then repeat. Women are most likely to conceive within 1-3 days after the peak of LH level.
