Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is the causative agent of AIDS, mainly transmitted through blood transfusion or sexual contact. It is highly contagious and susceptible to all kinds of people. After the HIV invades the human body, it destroys the body’s immune system, causing the infected person to lose immunity gradually, and eventually leads to death. HIV is divided into two subtypes, HIV1 and HIV2. After the human body is infected with the virus, the corresponding antibodies generally appear within 1 to 3 months. Detection of HIV antibodies in the blood can effectively determine HIV infection and is the most effective detection method.
